Why Does My Shooting Get Worse During a Session?
Performance can deteriorate during a session because physical and mental conditions change. Fatigue, visual strain, grip consistency, concentration, hold duration and frustration can all influence execution. Instead of treating late-session shots as random failures, compare early, middle and late groups to determine what actually changes.
Split the session into thirds
Compare early, middle and late on:
- group size
- group centre
- score
- flyer frequency
- called-shot accuracy
- subjective fatigue
- hold observations
What the pattern suggests
A group that grows but stays centred points toward consistency and fatigue. A group that keeps its size but migrates points toward position, hold or grip drift. Neither is a conclusion on its own — they are hypotheses to test in the next session.
