What Is Correct Pistol Trigger Control?
Good pistol trigger control means applying pressure to the trigger without unnecessarily disturbing sight alignment. The trigger does not need to surprise you, nor should you snatch it when the sights appear perfect. In precision shooting, a useful approach is usually to build controlled pressure while accepting normal sight movement and maintaining the rest of the shooting process.
The real objective
The objective is not to move the trigger slowly. The objective is to operate the trigger without disturbing the pistol.
A slow trigger action that causes increasing tension is not necessarily good. A faster controlled action that leaves the sights undisturbed may be better.
Trigger and aiming work together
Do not think "aim, then trigger". Think "aim while the trigger process develops". Waiting indefinitely for a perfect sight picture can create hesitation and increasing fatigue.
Diagnostic question
Can you increase trigger pressure while the sights continue their normal movement? If sight behaviour changes specifically when trigger pressure increases, that relationship is what to investigate — safely, in dry fire, following the manufacturer's guidance.
